the war bowl by designer dominic wilcox is made of plastic soldiers from the battle of waterloo [both french infantry and british foot artillery], so rad. these guys are unbelievable, mosley and wilcox who formed the design company Mosley Meets Wilcox, have been collaborating since 2000 and experiment in exuberant designs, including melting toy soldiers, ninjas and knights in their oven to see what kind of result they could achieve. they are a multidisciplinary creative consultancy and have recently included packaging, product, fashion and website design. according to wilcox: "after about a year of trawling round all these toy wholesalers in the east end, like secret santa's grottos, i can tell from holding a toy soldier in my hand if it's going to melt the way we want.” approximate dimensions: diameter 17.3", height 4" $295.00 US at
